Orange...The New Black This Season??
Summer is here in Dubai...the soaring temperature...the killing heat...!! The summer wear collection everywhere is more colorful and floral. For instance, ZARA is filled with orange, pink, yellow and some neon shaded clothes and they definitely make you look pretty! Orange is my personal favorite this season. It gives a fresh air to classic dresses and a retro style when it is combined with contrasting brown trousers.
When I went shopping this week, these are the 3 items I picked up.
I picked these babies up from Zara! They have an amazing and colorful collection of shoes this season!
To go with the shoes, I picked up a matching top from Zara (picture below)
And I picked up the Louis Vuitton Neverful bag to accessorize with!
The First Post!
'A Shopaholic is defined as a compulsive buyer who spends beyond your limits, buys things you have no use for, and uses shopping as a way to feel better temporarily'...when i searched for the definition of the word shopaholic, this is rhe definition google popped up with...and then i started thinking of all the times I have felt less pretty, had a bad day at work, been PMS-ing or had a fight with my mum/brother/boyfriend and actually used retail therapy to improve my mood! I wont deny it but just entering the store, looking at all the colors, spotting the right dress , trying it on, feeling pretty in it and then purchasing it..the whole shopping cycle somehow just cheers me up every time even though it results in increasing my credit card bill! Also, I cant help but shop! I mean, I'm living in a country where everyone is so brand conscious, where people dont know you by your name but by the car you are driving or the designer bag you are carrying ,where you are just required to look good and dress well all the time. You might try to control your shopping expenses but its hard in a country like this where due to the horrible summers all you can do is just go spend your time at the mall..and what can a person do at the mall anyways?? window shop?? window shopping does result in the actual shopping eventually!!! This place has so many malls, I have 2 malls just walking distance from my house!
Shopping hasn't always been a pleasant activity for me... there have been times where i have been in a mall for 5hours, trying to find the perfect Birthday dress or the perfect party dress and haven't been able to find anything! Sometimes either the size would be too big or too small or it just wouldn't fit in my budget! The other problem I usually face is due to my pretty pear UK size 14, I don't usually end up finding my sizes that easily, even If I do, the clothes would be showing off my love handles, so ya that would be a dreadful sight!! I'm sure its happened to alot of you, when you'll are trying to find a dress for any particular occasion you just might not get it and on days when you are just randomly strolling in the mall or when you are broke, you'll end up spotting the perfect dress. Shopping can be a lil bitch sometimes!
